THE BROTOGRAPHER / PRIVACY
Last updated: October 2026
The Brotographer (“I,” “me,” “this site”) is a behind-the-scenes photography and filmmaking site created by the filmmaker behind Lux Production House. This policy explains what information the site collects, how it’s used, and the choices you have.
When you send a message through the contact form, I collect your name, email address, the topic you choose, and your message. The message is emailed to me and a copy is stored in the site’s database so nothing gets lost. I use it only to read and reply to your message, and I delete old submissions periodically.
Emails from the site may be delivered through a third-party email sending service, which processes the message only to deliver it.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Many gear links on this site are affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. When you click one, Amazon may use cookies to recognize that you came from this site. Amazon’s handling of your information is covered by Amazon’s Privacy Notice.
Some gear links go to B&H Photo Video through its affiliate program, and I may earn a commission on purchases made through them, also at no extra cost to you. B&H may use cookies to recognize that you came from this site; its handling of your information is covered by B&H’s own privacy policy.
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site and the services above may use them for analytics, embedded content, and affiliate tracking. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some embedded content may not.
I don’t sell or rent your personal information. It’s shared only with the service providers that help run the site (hosting, email delivery, and analytics), when required by law, or to protect the site and its visitors.
You can ask me what personal information I have about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. If you live in California or another place with privacy laws that give you additional rights, I’ll honor those requests as required. Reach out through the contact page or email ross@thebrotographer.com.
This site isn’t directed at children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect personal information from them.
If this policy changes, I’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
